Prior to his arrival on Wall Street, he designed ASICs at LSI Logic and VLSI Tech, and marketed design software at Cadence, Quickturn and Avant!.
Mr. Desai was graduated with honors from MIT with a degree in Electrical Engineering and later earned his MBA at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
