Equity Investments, is responsible for DCM's global equity investment activities, and directs the activities of the investment professionals that comprise our global equity team.
The group manages several equity portfolios in the US market, the international developed markets and the emerging markets.
He chairs DCM's investment committee which is responsible for the firm's investment results across all product areas and is a member of the firm's Business Committee.
Prior to assuming his current role in February 1993, Mr. Saxon was the Portfolio Manager responsible for the international equity portfolio.
During his tenure at DCM, he has held several positions in research and portfolio management in both the domestic and international product areas.
Prior to joining DCM in 1978, Mr. Saxon was an Investment Officer in the equity research group at the Girard Trust Bank in Philadelphia.
He joined the financial services industry in 1970.
He was recognized in the Institutional Investor magazine and in Greenwich Research surveys as a top buy-side analyst.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Delaware Museum of Natural History and Chairman of the museum's Investment Committee.
He is also a member of the Finance and Investment Committee of the Winterthur Museum and Gardens.
Mr. Saxon holds a B.A.
in Politics and International Relations from St. Joseph's College, Philadelphia, and an M.B.A.
in Finance from Temple University.
