Jeff M. Doherty

Mr. Doherty served as Vice President with SG Cowen Securities in London, UK providing investment banking services to growth companies throughout Western Europe.
With SG Cowen, Mr. Doherty led the origination and execution of numerous transactions including mergers and acquisitions and public and private equity offerings.
Prior to joining SG Cowen, Mr. Doherty was employed as an Associate with First Union Securities in Charlotte, NC providing investment banking services to financial services clients throughout the United States.
At First Union, Mr. Doherty gained extensive experience in debt underwriting and placement for both regulated and non-regulated competitors in the financial services market including insurance, specialty finance, and employee benefits consulting.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Doherty was employed with International Shipholding Corporation (ISH) in New Orleans, LA and assisted with the management, logistics, and repair and maintenance of ISH’s fleet of 1,800 barges spread throughout North America, Western Europe, East Africa, and Asia.
At ISH, Mr. Doherty worked extensively in project management, marine salvage, contract negotiation and financial analysis.
Mr. Doherty holds an M.B.A.
with honors from Wake Forest University and graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a B.S.
in Economics.
Mr. Doherty holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
