John R. Barber

Mr. John R.
Barber is Founder & Managing Partner at Cohesive Capital Partners since April 2010.
Prior to founding Cohesive, he was the Managing Partner of Citi Private Equity from 2000 to January 2009.
Before that, Mr. Barber served as Deputy Head of the Financial Entrepreneurs Group, Head of the Private Equity Group, a member of Salomon Smith Barney's Equity Commitment Committee and as a senior member of Salomon Smith Barney's Equity Capital Markets Group from 1995 to 1999.
He has extensive experience in advising financial sponsors in the areas of public equity offerings.
Mr. Barber has worked with hundreds of small to large companies on their financing alternatives.
Prior to joining Salomon Smith Barney, Mr. Barber worked for Kidder Peabody & Co. where he was a Managing Director and served as Head of the Equity Capital Markets Group and a member of the firm's Commitment Committee up to 1994.
Prior to Kidder Peabody, he worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert for seven years.
Mr. Barber received a BA from Tufts University in 1983.
