John T. Sanford

Prior to joining Challenger as a founding principal, Mr. Sanford held positions as diverse as executive vice president, CFO, and member of the Executive Committee of Trinity Industries; president and CEO of Stearns Airport Equipment Co.; and founder and managing partner of an independent oil and gas company.
He began his professional career as a CPA with Arthur Young and Company in Dallas.
He has industry expertise in the construction, industrial products, transportation and energy sectors.
Mr. Sanford has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas complemented by a master’s degree in liberal arts from Southern Methodist University.
