Chalmers Innovation (Chalmers) is the venture capital subsidiary of Stiftelsen Chalmers Innovation in Sweden. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Chalmers originated in 1997 following a donation from the Sten A. Olsson Foundation and was officially inaugurated in 1999. They are closely linked with the Chalmers University of Technology which conducts research and teaches in the areas of technology, natural science and architecture. Chalmers acts as a business incubator supporting technology-based ideas as well as rapid growth firms emanating from academic communities and industrial spin-offs.
