Northeastern Pennsylvania Council
Northeastern Pennsylvania Council Miscellaneous Commercial ServicesCommercial Services The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council offers a comprehensive range of scouting programs, resources, and events to support youth development and leadership. The non-profit company is based in Moosic, PA. Key offerings include summer camping opportunities such as Camp Acahela—with its three-day adventure camp and week-long Cub Scout resident camp sessions—and Goose Pond Scout Reservation. The council emphasizes advancement through structured rank progression, merit badge counseling, STEM awards, and support for special needs scouts. Training programs cover youth protection, leader development, and youth mental health first aid, with strict policies to ensure safety, including mandatory background checks and two-deep leadership. The council engages the community through fundraising events like the Friends of Scouting dinner, popcorn sales, and other activities, while providing financial assistance via a campership assistance program to ensure all scouts can attend camp regardless of financial constraints. Additional resources include recruiting tools, background checks, charter renewal support, and a scout shop. The council maintains an active calendar of events and district-specific programs, promoting membership growth and family involvement. | Directeur/Bestuurslid | - |
