Katherine A. Downs

Prior to EMP, Ms. Downs worked in various divisions of the private placement group of the Prudential Insurance Company of America from 1986 through 1995, where she most recently served as Managing Vice President, heading a group responsible for credit-backed real estate investments.
In 1996 and 1997, she worked in project development at Stanton Capital in Lima, Peru and did consulting work for the Peruvian government on its new private pension fund system.
Ms. Downs holds a B.A.
from Wesleyan University, a J.D.
from Boston University Law School, a M.B.A from Yale University School of Management, and in 1996 completed a Masters in Latin American Studies at Johns Hopkins SAIS.
She also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) designation.
