RFIDEA SA was launched in January 2003 under the name of Neuro Engineering. Its core business was focused on Traceability, Biotechnologies and Neural networks. In early 2004 it redefined its activity and decided to concentrate exclusively on electronic traceability. By the end of 2004 it had made its first round of fund rising and had changed name to reflect its commitment to the development of electronic identification technologies: RFIDEA RFIDEA received the prize for the 'Best Enterprise Project' at Enterprise 2004 ('Fonds des Jeunes Entrepreneurs' founded by the Roi Baudouin Foundation). Since the beginning, RFIDEA has been working with manufacturers in many sectors, such as food, pharmacy, metallurgy, chemistry, and automotive. It has worked with business leaders and with global organizations in charge of standard definitions.
