Standard Pacific Capital (SPC) manages global equity and Pan-Asia portfolios. Their global equity portfolios invest and trade in equity securities and other instruments, long and short, on a global basis. The firm's Pan-Asia portfolios invest and trade in equity securities and other instruments, long and short, in the Pan-Asia region. For their Pan-Asia strategy, SPC will consider investments in other companies that derive revenue from, or are related in any way to the Pan-Asia region. The firm employs a fundamental, bottom-up investment approach. SPC uses a valuation strategy that focuses on investing in companies where the earning potential is not discounted in the share price. They will short stocks where the fundamentals are decaying and valuation is high enough to allow downside. SPC may also hedge with futures, options and currencies.
