Maria J. D'Avanzo

In addition to her role with Starwood Capital, Ms. D’Avanzo is Of Counsel to the law firm of Rinaldi, Finkelstein & Franklin, LLC.
Ms. D’Avanzo oversees the firm’s regulatory compliance matters.
Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Ms. D’Avanzo was a principal in the law firm of D’Avanzo & Morreale, P.C.
specializing in real estate, financial and corporate transactions.
Prior to that, Ms. D’Avanzo was associated with the law firm of Cerussi & Spring, P.C.
where she was national coordinating trial counsel to IBM in a mass tort litigation involving the computer industry.
Ms. D’Avanzo received her JD from St. John’s University School of Law and her AB in political science from the College of the Holy Cross.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Special Kids of N.Y, Inc., a not-for-profit charitable organization.
Ms. D’Avanzo holds NASD Series 7, Series 24 and NASAA Series 63 licenses.
