Matthew Benson

Matthew Benson joined Silver Lake in 2020 and is a Managing Director and Head of Communications.
Prior to joining Silver Lake, he was a managing director and partner at Sard Verbinnen & Co in New York and San Francisco, where for two decades he provided strategic communications counsel and execution support to global clients across a range of industries on a wide array of specific matters and long-term engagements.
Prior to that, he worked as a public affairs consultant in Washington, D.C.
and as a legislative assistant for a Member of Congress.
Matt earned an A.B.
in Social Sciences from the University of Michigan’s Residential College and an M.B.A.
from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M.
Ross School of Business.
