Philip J. Lane

Dr. Lane is the Chair and Associate Professor of Economics at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
In addition to his responsibilities at Fairfield University, Dr. Lane is a faculty member and Academic Director of the National School of Banking, which is sponsored by America’s Community Bankers.
His areas of research interests include depository institutions, deregulation of the financial system, and financial modeling.
His areas of teaching experience include money and banking, financial markets and institutions, macroeconomics and the economics of sports.
Dr. Lane received a B.A.
in Economics from Providence College, a M.A.
in Economics from Northeastern University and a Ph.D.
in Economics from Tufts University.
He is currently the moderator of the Rugby Club, the Irish Society, Treasurer of the Fairfield University Employees’ Federal Credit Union and a member of the Trumbull Rotary.
