Pieter-Jelle van der Sluis

Dr. Pieter-Jelle van der Sluis is Coordinator-Quantitative Equity Research at APG Asset Management.
He joined ABP Investments in 2000.
He started to work in the Portfolio Research department of the Equity Platform.
As of 2001 he manages the quantitative equity research within the Research department.
Recently, he also manages part of the research on quantitative strategies for other asset categories, such as commodities and derivatives.
His expertise is on quantitative models for active strategies, forecasting, asset allocation, portfolio construction and evaluation, risk management and option pricing.
Before joining ABP he was an assistant researcher at the Department of Actuarial Science and Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam, an assistant professor of Econometrics, Statistics and Quantitative Finance and fellow of CentER at Tilburg University.
Dr. Pieter van der Sluis holds an MSc degree in Econometrics and Operations Research from Free University Amsterdam and a PhD in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.
Currently, he is also affiliated as an assistant professor of Finance to the Department of Finance at Free University Amsterdam.
He has published several articles in (financial) econometrics and option pricing in major international journals.
He is also a frequent speaker at both academic and practitioner's conferences.
