Its mission is to advocate for the social, technical, and economic progress of the gas industry by promoting transparency, public endorsement, and the removal of barriers to progress, innovation, access, and development. The organization collaborates with other industry partners, public agencies, and multilateral organizations to achieve its goals. The International Gas Union is committed to a sustainable future that includes a wide spectrum of clean energy technologies, including gas, which is a critical tool for the world to meet climate goals and deliver on the sustainable development agenda. The organization seeks to improve the quality of life by advancing gas as a key contributor to a sustainable energy future. The International Gas Union provides publications, useful links, research documents, and reports about natural gas, including speeches held by the IGU presidency, the IGU secretariat, and other IGU representatives at events since 2010. Additionally, the organization offers a real-time air quality index and access to air quality reports.
