He is one of the founders of Newfield Exploration Company where he served as the Vice President of Operations and as a director from 1992 until his retirement in 2001.
He currently serves as the director of two privately held companies, Fiber Dynamics, Inc., a manufacturer of fiber optic sensors, and Marine Spill Response Corporation, which provides environmental clean up services and on whose Compensation Committee he serves.
He has served on our Compensation Committee since 2001 and on our Nominating Committee since 2002.
