Optixx AG's business model is based entirely on progressive lenses. A completely independent company, it prides itself on its independence and self-sufficiency. It really does it all; starting with the mathematical model and the latest ray tracing technology, it has designed its own proprietary progressive lens series. The ixxlens is the firm's semi finished progressive lens series. Thai Optical and Seiko use Optixx moulds to cast these lenses. Then there is identity, the company's finished backside progressive design. By moving the optical surface closer to the eye, identity has a much wider vision area and is able to optimize sight at all distances for the wearer. The company believes the 'back side' is the leading edge of progressive technology and is ultimately the future of all progressive lenses. Optixx is made up of four divisions. The first division is the semi-finished progressive blank division. A wide range of progressive blanks is offered in the ixxlens-series, one design family. The ixxlens+, an aspheric design, is one of the company's premium products. Also in the same design family are the ixxlens 15 and 13 that are not fully aspheric but have proven highly satisfactory. The company's progressive blanks are sold throughout the world in a complete range of ophthalmic materials.
