Steve Shuker

Steve joined Maven in January 2023, based in our Birmingham office and has responsibility for new MEIF investment across the West Midlands, as well as managing his relationships with existing portfolio investments across the region Steve has over 30 years experience of funding growth businesses at the SME and PLC level within the commercial banking sector.
He has also worked at a senior level in industry, and has been both a Treasurer and Non Executive Director of the local branch of a national charity and its trading subsidiary.
Steve has also sat on the Board of an NHS Trust oversight body and a number of School governing bodies in his local area.
Steve has an BA Honours Degree in Banking & Financial Services from Birmingham City University, is an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Banking and a Member and Diplomate of The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Outside of work, Steve loves long walks with his two dogs.
Playing football with his young grandson, watching professional football, and reading.
