Thomas Charles Merigan

Thomas Charles Merigan, Jr. has been Principal Investigator of NIAID Sponsored AIDS Clinical Trials Unit since 1986 and Director of Stanford University's Center of AIDS Research since 1988.
Dr. Merigan has been Chairman of Editorial Board of HIV: Advances in Research and Therapy since 1990 and a Member of the Editorial Boards of Aids Research and Human Retroviruses since 1983, International Journal of Anti-Microbial Agents since 1990 and The Aids Reader since 1991.
He was Scientific Advisor and a Director of Hollis Eden Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 1996 to March 29, 2009.
Dr. Merigan was George E.
and Lucy Becker Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1980 to 2004 and Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Stanford School of Medicine from 1966 to 1992.
Dr. Merigan Chairman of the Immunology AIDS Advisory Board for Bristol Myers Squibb Corporation from 1989 to 1995 and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Sequel Corp.
from 1993 to 1996.
He received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MD from the University of California at San Francisco.
