Maramba is the founder of Rizal Cancer Registry.
He currently holds the position of Vice Chairman-Pathology Department at Dr. Victor R.
Potenciano Medical Center, Chairman-National Technical Working Group at National Health Laboratory Network Program, Associate Pathologist & Head-Blood Bank Section at United Doctors Medical Center, Inc., and President at Philippine Society for Quality in Healthcare.
In the past, Dr. Maramba served as Chairman of Dangerous Drugs Board, Vice Chairman of Philippine Council For Health Research & Development, and Chairman of Euro-Med Laboratories Philippines, Inc. from 1994 to 2010.
He also worked as an Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines, a Member-Governors Board at Philippine National Red Cross, and a Program Manager-National Blood Services Program at Philippines Department of Health.
Additionally, he held positions such as President of Philippine Council for Accreditation Organizations, Head-Pathology Department at Lung Center of the Philippines, Head-Pathology Department at Rizal Provincial Hospital, and Head-Pathology Department at Lungsod Ng Kabataan Hospital.
He also served as President of Philippine Society of Pathologists, Philippine Blood Coordinating Council, Philippine Society of Oncologists, Inc., Philippine Council For Quality Assurance In Clinical Lab, and Asian Network For Clinical Laboratory Standardization & Harmon.
Dr. Maramba obtained a doctorate degree from the University of the Philippines in 1956 and a graduate degree from the same institution in 1975.
