Tomasz Tratkiewicz

Dr. Tomasz Tratkiewicz is a Senior Economist at Centrum Analiz Spoleczno-Ekonomicznych.
His areas of expertise include macroeconomic policy, fiscal policy and taxation.
Prior to joining CASE Dr. Tratkiewicz worked at the VAT department at the Ministry of Finance in Poland (over seven years as the director of the department), where he was responsible inter alia for drafting and interpreting VAT law.
He was also engaged in VAT issues with the OECD and the European Commission (inter alia as a Member of VAT Committee).
Dr. Tratkiewicz was also directly involved in Polish preliminary rulings regarding VAT before the CJEU.
Dr. Tratkiewicz obtained his PhD in Economic Science from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland.
