GIC Pte Ltd. (Investment Management) (GIC-IM) is the investment management division of state-owned GIC Pte Ltd., a sovereign wealth fund headquartered in Singapore. The firm was founded in 1981 to manage Singapore’s foreign reserves. GIC-IM manages government funds and reports to their own Board of Directors. Under the Constitution of Singapore, the firm is designated as a Fifth Schedule company as they are responsible for managing government assets and the country’s reserves.
