Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. is gespecialiseerd in het ontwerp, de productie en de marketing van gassen. De activiteit is georganiseerd rond 4 productfamilies:
- bulkgassen: industriële gassen (zuurstof, stikstof en argon), waterstof en helium, medische en speciale gassen die geleverd worden met tankwagens of buizentrailers, in cilinders of via kleine on-site gasgeneratie-installaties voor de metaal-, glas-, chemische verwerkings-, voedselverwerkings-, gezondheids-, staal-, petroleum- en aardgasindustrie;
- tonnagegassen: industriële gassen (waterstof, koolmonoxide, stikstof en zuurstof) geleverd via grote on-site faciliteiten of pijpleidingsystemen, voornamelijk voor klanten in de petrochemische, chemische en metallurgische industrie;
- hoogwaardige chemicaliën;
- cryogene en gasverwerkingsapparatuur: voor luchtscheiding, terugwinning en zuivering van koolwaterstoffen, vloeibaarmaking van aardgas en heliumdistributie.
De netto-omzet is als volgt geografisch verdeeld: Verenigde Staten (41,6%), Azië (26,6%), Europa (23,3%), Midden-Oosten en India (1,1%) en overige (7,4%).
