Mr. Dirk Schmelzer is a Partner & Member of the Executive Board at Plenum Investments AG.
He is also a Senior Portfolio Manager.
He joined Plenum Investments in 2010 as a senior portfolio manager for insurance-linked securities (ILS).
Since 2005 he has led the insurance-linked security team at Falcon Private Bank (formerly AIG Private Bank) and was the responsible portfolio manager for funds and asset management mandates in the ILS area.
He started his career at VZ VermögensZentrum, where he was deputy head of fund research and responsible for selecting and monitoring alternative investments.
He graduated from the Braunschweig Technical University in 2000 as an industrial engineer and is certified as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Hedge Fund Advisor (EBS/BAI).
