Allain Tissier joined the CEA (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique), as an engineer, in 1996 to study the effect of radiation on plant development.
Alain has been on leave from the CEA since 2003 to fully devote his time to the foundation and management of Librophyt.

He worked under Prof.
Ethan Signer supervision in 1989 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to perform experimental work for his thesis (1989-1993).
During that period, he was a Lavoisier fellow from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1991-1992).
Alain Tissier graduated with a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology in 1993 and received an EMBO postdoctoral fellowship to work under Prof.
Jonathan Jones at the John Innes Centre in Norwich, UK (1994-1996).
Alain Tissier is the author of over 16 publications in international peer reviewed journals and 5 patents.
