Arthur F.
Courville served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary of Symantec Corp.
until July 31, 2008.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Legal Affairs for Symantec from July 2005 to February 2006 and Vice President and General Counsel from 1999 to July 2005.
Mr. Courville joined Symantec in 1993 and was appointed Director of the Legal Department in 1994 and Director of Product Management for the Internet Tools Business Unit in 1997.
He was Senior Director of the Legal Department for Symantec and was appointed Vice President and General Counsel in 1999.
Previously, Mr. Courville worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
He received a BA degree in Economics from Stanford University, a Law degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California-Berkeley and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley.
