The firm was founded in 1992 and formerly known as BOB Asset Management Co. Ltd. They entered into a joint venture with Pioneer Global Asset Management SpA in 2008 and changed their name to Baroda Pioneer Asset Management. They subsequently became Baroda Asset Management Co. Ltd. and Baroda Asset Management India Ltd. Headquartered in Mumbai, BAML acts as investment manager to Baroda Mutual Fund.
