He joined AIM in 1999 from John Hancock Funds, where he was head of equity research and senior portfolio manager.
Prior to his tenure at John Hancock, Mr. Hock was a portfolio manager and head of investment strategy at Transamerica Fund Management Company, which was acquired by John Hancock Funds in December 1994.
He also was senior vice president and chief investment officer for Securities Management Research from 1987 to 1992, and served as senior vice president at InterFirst Investment Management from 1981 to 1987.
Mr. Hock holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Southwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Southern Methodist University.
He is a CFA charterholder and is past president of the Dallas Association of Financial Analysts.
