Benjamin Wu is Managing Director and Head of East Coast for ORIX Corporation USA’s Growth Capital business.
He has over 20 years of experience in direct investing across private credit, growth equity and special opportunities investing.

Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Wu was CEO of Brex Asset Management, where he launched and managed Brex Technology Opportunities Fund I.
Prior to Brex, he also served as Managing Director and Business Services sector head for TPG Sixth Street Partners, Senior Managing Director at Macquarie Principal Finance, Principal at General Catalyst’s Growth Equity group, and Vice President/Associate at Fortress Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund.
Mr. Wu holds an MS in Computer Science and a BSE/BSE summa cum laude from the Management & Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Wharton School, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
