Christoph Trebesch

Mr. Christoph Trebesch is a Head of Research at Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
He is a Professor of Economics at the University of Kiel and at the Kiel Institute for the World Economic.
He heads the Research Area "International Finance and Global Governance." He is also a Research Affiliate of CEPR and CESifo.
His research focuses on international finance and international macroeconomics, economic history, and political economy.
Before coming to Kiel, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Munich (until 2017).
He completed his Ph.D.
at the Free University of Berlin (in 2011), with research stays at Yale and at the IMF.
