James K. Teringo

James Teringo, Jr. is vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Cano Petroleum.
Mr. Teringo brings more than 25 years of extensive experience in the energy industry to the Cano team.
Previously, he was assistant general counsel of Panda Energy International, Inc. in Dallas.
He also has served as general counsel for British–Borneo Exploration, Inc. and senior counsel for Enserch Exploration, Inc. He has been a member of the Offshore Committee for the Independent Petroleum Association of America and has served on the Board of Directors for Enserch Federal Credit Union.
A member of the State Bar of Texas and The Mississippi Bar, Teringo received a bachelor’s degree (with distinction) in business from Mississippi State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Mississippi
