Highgrowth Partners SGECR SA, also known as HG BcnHighgrowth, is an independent Barcelona-based venture capital firm. HG BcnHighgrowth was established in 2008 through the absorption of BCN Emprèn SCR SA (also known as Barcelona Emprèn) by Highgrowth Partners SGECR SA, established in 2001. Both firms pioneered venture capital investment management in the Catalonia region of northern Spain. HG BcnHighgrowth provides business consulting services and invests a combination of public and private funds. Their lead investors include regional entities such as the Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Finance Institute (ICF), as well as the European Investment Fund and Spanish mutual assurance societies, corporations and financial institutions. Their clients are Spanish institutions and private individuals.
