Laura Pohlan

Dr. Laura Pohlan is a Junior Research Associate at ZEW-Leibniz-Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung.
She works in close cooperation with the research unit “Labour Markets and Social Insurance”.
She is currently working as a senior researcher in the research department “Labour Market Processes and Institutions” at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg.
Her research interests include the empirical analysis of search and hiring processes and the role of frictions in the labour market.
A special focus lies on the labour market integration of the long-term unemployed.
She worked as a Researcher in the ZEW Research Department “Labour Markets and Social Insurance” from 2013 to 2020.
She studied Economics at the University of Mannheim from 2008 to 2013.
In July 2018, she completed her PhD with her thesis entitled “Essays on Unemployment, Job Search Behavior and Policy Interventions” at the University of Mannheim.
