Obi Jr Anthony

Anthony Obi Jr. brings a multifaceted skill set with over five years of startup and entrepreneurship experience to the GAP Funds team.
Obi started his career as a founder of PreopMD, a digital health startup addressing operating room inefficiencies.
At PreopMD, Obi wore multiple hats including product development, business development, client relations and capital raising.
Following his time at PreopMD, Obi completed Venture Capital fellowships at Vencapital, a VC Accelerator for underrepresented fund managers and Digital Dx Ventures, a woman-owned healthcare impact fund.
Obi is active in the startup ecosystem and has served as an advisor and consultant for multiple startup companies, as well as an angel investor.
He has also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he worked closely with digital health companies helping them advance ideas from inception to commercialization.
Obi holds B.S degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Texas Southern University.
