Bank of Portugal (Research) is the investment research division of Bank of Portugal, the central bank of the Portuguese Republic which was established by Royal Charter on 19 November 1846 as a bank of issue and commercial bank. Headquartered in Lisbon, the firm’s research projects cover multiple areas, with particular emphasis on monetary economics, international economics, labor, growth and business cycles, banking and regulation, financial economics, fiscal policy, and econometric modeling.
