Prior to launching MWG in 2015, Mr. Murray spent 25 years at McLean Budden as an Executive Vice President and Managing Director.
Prior to McLean Budden, he was Vice President and Equity Analyst at Nesbitt Thomson.
He was one of the key Portfolio Managers of the Canadian Equity Growth Fund, one of the largest equity portfolios in Canada at the time, the American Equity Fund, the International Equity Fund and the Global Equity Growth Fund.
Prior to McLean Budden, Mr. Murray was Vice President and Equity Analyst at Nesbitt Thomson from 1985 to 1990 where he achieved top rank as a Special Situations Analyst in the Brendan Wood International Survey of institutional investors.
He started his investment career in 1976 at Crown life Insurance Company in Toronto as an International Economist and Financial Services Analyst and was Manager Canadian Equities when he left in 1985 to join Nesbitt Thomson.
Mr. Murray received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo.
