Dr Reza Hadizad combines the highest academic achievements in the fields of mathematics and theoretical physics with ten years of profitable experience in financial markets.
In the field of risk arbitrage he offers a broad understanding of the regulatory environment coupled with detailed knowledge of trading patterns and the behaviour of companies involved in mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Pioneer Alternative Investments in 2000, Reza was a Senior Proprietary Trader at Paribas, responsible for setting up and running the special situations equity trading desk.
In 1995 he joined HSBC Investment Bank where he was the senior executive in Arbitrage Trading.
Prior to HSBC he was Head of Analytics at Natwest Markets and Quant /Project Manager at SBC O’Connor.
At university Reza received a number of qualifications, including BSc Honours in Theoretical Physics, MSc Physics (Computer Science) and a PhD in Theoretical Physics.
