Richard Horton

In 1992, Mr. Horton moved to Tokyo, Japan and joined the IBM Asia Pacific organization.
He held several positions during his time in Asia including Managing Director of Operations for IBM Japan’s General Business Company.
He was also elected to their Board of Directors.
Following his four-year assignment in Japan, Rick was appointed Vice President, Marketing Operations, ISSC in Somers, New York.
In January 1997, Mr. Horton was appointed Vice President, Business Services Industry Unit, IBM Global Services, North America.
Here he had responsibility for the sales and delivery of outsourcing, systems integration and consulting services.
In addition he had responsibility of IBM’s Business Recovery Services unit.
In September 1998, Rick was appointed General Manager, Learning Services.
Learning Services is one of Global Services four worldwide lines of business.
It is the largest IT training provider in the world with over 3,400 employees.
In September 2000, Rick was promoted to his current assignment, General Manager of IBM Global Services Canada.
IGS Canada has 12,500 employees and generates revenue of over two billion dollars.
Mr. Horton is a member of IBM’s Senior Management Group and on the Board of Directors of ISM Canada and LGS Group Inc. He has a B.A.
in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
