Scott Rooth is a senior advisor and a member of the Investment Committee for PPM America Capital Partners, the private equity arm of PPM America, Inc. (PPM).
Scott assumed his new role as senior advisor to the private equity team in June 2021.
He previously served as executive partner and played a leading role in the management of the team as well as originating and approving private equity transactions.
Scott was previously a member of PPM’s private finance group, which prior to 1997, was focused on leveraged finance.
Prior to joining PPM in 1992, Scott was a managing director at Equitable Capital Management.
Previously, he was a senior vice president with GE Capital after beginning his career with Continental Bank.
He serves and has served on numerous portfolio company boards of directors.
He also serves on several fund advisory boards.
Scott earned a master’s degree in finance and marketing from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in American history from Yale University.
