Shawn van der Meer

Mr. VanderMeer has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Pacific Safety Products Inc. since December 1998.
In that time, he has been extensively involved in the Company’s strategic management including strategic planning, negotiating and integrating acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and raising capital.
From an operations perspective he leads several departments including finance and accounting, human resources, information technology and investor relations.
He is also very involved in issues related to controllership, public company reporting and corporate governance.
He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1991 and his Chartered Accountant designation in 1994.
He worked as a manager in public practice accounting from 1994 to 1998 and has extensive experience in all facets of business operations including system implementation, income tax, financial statement preparation, and business planning and consulting.
