Sonja H. Risner

Ms. Risner joined Milestone Capital as Controller in 2004.
Prior to joining Milestone Capital, Ms. Risner served as Controller for Galway Partners, an investment banking firm located in Washington, DC that focused primarily upon tobacco securitization and venture capital opportunities.
In addition to these practices, Galway also had an international fund for which Ms. Risner handled all of the accounting functions.
During her tenure at Galway Partners, Ms. Risner was responsible for all accounting responsibilities of the firm, as well as any accounting needed for their venture capital clients.
Her professional experience also includes work as a Controller for a small DC based law firm that merged with national firm, Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld, LLC in 1999.
All of the accounting and billing aspects of that merger were handled by Ms. Risner.
Once their firm was fully integrated into Akin Gump, Ms. Risner served as part of the Accounting Management Team.
Ms. Risner holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Baltimore in Baltimore, MD.
