Tathagata Guha Roy

Mr. Tathagata Guha Roy is Head of Thematic Research at Daiwa Capital Markets (Hong Kong) Ltd.
He had over 17 years’ experience in the investment industry.
He started in the industry in 1991 first at Y.K.
Capital Trust in New Delhi then with SBI Funds Management.
He then moved to Koeneman Capital Management Singapore where he was involved in managing Asian regional portfolios.
He spent another 7 years with Citigroup Asset Management where he was the Head of Equity & Balanced Investments for Asia.
After Citigroup, he joined Alliance Trust (AT) Asset Management as Head of Asian Equities and Senior Portfolio Manager in August 2005 where he was responsible for all equity investments in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. Guha Roy is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and as a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.
