Prior to joining Three Zero Three Capital Partners, Mr. Murphy began his career in 1978 at Blythe, Eastman and Dillon on the institutional equity desk.
After a brief time at Chapdelaine Government Brokers, he joined Thomson McKinnon Securities, moving to Chicago in February 1981.
He left Thomson McKinnon in August 1985 to become a partner at the Gelber Group, where he significantly grew the Gelber fixed income derivatives brokerage operation.
In January 1990, he joined Prudential Securities, Inc. as a senior vice president and quickly replicated and then expanded upon his successes at Gelber.
In May 1996, Mr. Murphy left Prudential with his brokerage team, including Steve Beitler and John Burke, to establish TJM Institutional.
In the years since, he has developed TJM Institutional into a leading independent broker and trading advisory.
He is also associated with R.J.
O’Brien & Assoc., Inc., a registered futures commission merchant, through its TJM Division.
Mr. Murphy graduated from St. John’s University and holds Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 Licenses.
