William Lu

William is a senior member of the Greater China real estate investment team and he has over 20 years’ experience in the China real estate market including acquisitions, asset management, property valuations and consulting.
His responsibilities span the full spectrum of investment activity, including investment sourcing, analysis, structuring, execution, asset management and final investment exit.
William joined Actis in 2018 when it acquired Standard Chartered’s PRFE business.
Prior to joining PFRE, he was Director and Head of Acquisitions for China for CBRE Global Investors, and a member of the China Management Team based in Shanghai.
He was with CBRE Global Investors (who acquired the ING Real Estate platform in 2011) from 2002.
He was responsible for the acquisition and structuring of investments for ING Real Estate balance sheet capital, China Opportunity Fund I (COF I) and Asia Value Fund in Chinaand led the exit initiation, analysis, negotiation and documentation with JV partners of COF I.
He completed acquisitions and exits of over 15 projects during his career with CBRE Global Investors/ING Real Estate.
William holds a Master of Science (Real Estate) degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
He is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
