Social Security Corp. (SSC) is a government-owned pension fund management firm headquartered in Amman, Jordan. The firm was founded in 1978 to enforce the Social Security Law allocating pensions for retirement, disability, sickness, or death; enhancing social security programs; extending social security; participating in economic and social development plans; raising health standards, deepening the values of solidarity in the society, reducing poverty and ensuring equitable income distribution between generations. SSC offers a general solidarity insurance scheme that aims to provide social and economic protection to people.
