With more than eight years of experience in the venture capital industry, Andreas Wirtz joined Holtzbrinck Ventures as Director Finance in June 2006.
Within the firm he is responsible for all finance, accounting and tax matters.
Before joining Holtzbrinck Ventures he was Partner Finance of Star Ventures, an international Venture Capital company, headquartered in Munich, with approximate US$ 1 billion under management.
There he monitored a portfolio of more than 120 companies, was responsible for 14 venture capital funds and attended more than 50 exit transactions (IPO and M&A).
Prior to his tenure at Star Ventures, he worked as a certified German tax consultant for an audit company and was mainly responsible for Venture Capital clients
Education: Andreas Wirtz holds a degree in business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) with distinction from the Ludwig - Maximilian - Universität, München.
