Mr. Nichols was a lawyer at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston, where he was a partner since 1969.
He retired as a practicing lawyer at the end of 2003.
He was a corporate lawyer, and among other things worked with both venture capitalists and young companies, both venture funded and angel funded.
He served on the boards of directors of a variety of corporations, including Bolt Beranek & Newman and in that connection and in other matters has worked extensively with Steve Levy.
He has invested privately in both venture funds and young companies and continues to do so.
He welcomes the opportunity to work with entrepreneurs on an ongoing basis.
Mr. Nichols received his LLB from Harvard Law School, and his AB from Dartmouth College (summa cum laude).
Most recently he participated in the drafting and was instrumental in the adoption of a new corporate statute in Massachusetts.
