Prior to joining Viant Asset Management in 2004, Mr. Skiba was Managing Director and Global Technology Analyst/Strategist at Deutsche Bank.
He played a leading roll in developing Deutsche Bank's global technology research product with particular emphasis on information technology.
He was a Runner Up in the 2003 Global Institutional Investor poll and is one of 150 "master investors" profiled in "The Global-Investor Book of Investing Rules," by Philip Jenks and Stephen Eckett.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Skiba worked at Lehman Brothers and was head of Software & IT Services equity research in Europe .
While at Lehman, he was a ranked equity analyst both in Europe and the United States by Institutional Investor, Reuters and Extel.
Prior to setting up Lehman’s European research effort, Mr. Skiba was an Enterprise Software analyst in the United States for Lehman Brothers and Cowen & Company in San Francisco .
Mr. Skiba has participated in over $5 billion of fund raising activities for technology companies over his career.
Mr. Skiba came into investment banking as a seasoned software entrepreneur on the West Coast.
He was CEO and co-founder of GlobalStream Corporation, a developer of real-time collaborative software.
Prior to that, he was co-founder of Pinpoint Publishing, based in Emeryville, California.
Mr. Skiba has extensive product development skills, holds an M.B.A.
from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College , a B.S.B.A.
from Boston University , and has completed work toward his Masters in Computer Science at Boston University .
