Major General (Res.) Lior Carmeli joined Rainfall as a senior advisor following a 36-year career in the IDF.
In the last four years alone, Lior has served as the Head of the J6, C4I, and Cyber Defense Directorate, overseeing thousands of service members and managing a multi-billion dollar budget.
He was responsible for protecting all IDF cyber networks and for campaigns against adversaries.
During his tenure, the Directorate's 2021 cyber campaign was awarded the nation's highest defense prize: the Israel Defense Award.
Lior holds a BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and has completed the Recanati-Kaplan fellowship from the Harvard Kennedy School.
