Established in 1997, the firm was formerly known as Grand Cathay Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd. In 2007, SinoPac Financial Holdings acquired the remaining stake of Grand Cathay Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd. and they changed their name to SinoPac Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd. SinoPac Trust is based in Taipei and specializes in asset management, mutual fund management and discretionary portfolio management.
